Nanas Day Off..

Well today is my day off. I love having days to myself. It is beginning to feel like fall and this is my favorite time of the year..We had to reschedule family pictures (mother nature didn't cooperate) so I enjoyed being home and doing odd jobs around the house. I got my fall decorations up, cleaned under beds, blogged and made zuchinni bread. What a wonderful day. Oh and I went to the gym early this morning. Now I am listening to the king of country "George Strait" and having a diet coke. My honey gave me the new cd for my birthday along with a little blue box from Tiffany's. I love my new ring. I head out on the road tomorrow , so I will let you know if anything happens exciting during my travels through Texas.. So for now that's what is happening at Nanas!

Another year older and learning new tricks...

Well here goes my second post.. Had a wonderful birthday celebrating with my family. First, Brixton called to wish Nana a happy birthday. He is such a cutie. Then he came up to Nana's to go do lunch. Of course he wanted to go to McDonalds but I said Nana wants to go to Joes Crab Shack. He said I don't like sloppy joes and I don't want to go. Oh well, off to sloppy joes as Brixton calls it. My little sister came up so we had a great lunch. Mom and Dad came up on Sunday and took Fred and I to Roadhouse. That was very enjoyable. Nicole joined us on sunday because she had school on monday. It is always fun and exciting spending time with the grandkids. Love them and treasure their memories..

Here are just a few of my favorite things that I have enjoyed in the past year........

This is my very first blog. I am very excited to be apart of the blogging world! I have so much to catch up with. This is all new so please bare with me. I just got back from New York with 3 of some very dear friends. Jody Cox, Valerie Holman and Joann Decamp. It was Jody's 50th birthday on the 25th so we decided last March to go to New York for both of our birthdays. My very dear friend Sharon Hales's birthday is on the 29th of Sept and mine on the 28th. I saved my buddy passes and we began to plan. Sharon couldn't get the time off work so had to back out. We invited Jody's sister val and her good friend from evanston, JoAnn. JoAnn has just recently went through chemo for breast cancer, so I was so glad that she could join us. I saved my buddy passes and off to New York we went. I love Jody so very much. She walked into my life at a time when I felt I had no friends. I know Heavenly Father answers our prayers by sending people into our lifes at times when we are down. Her son, Rodney and Kyle wrestled together and she has been such an inspiration to me. I thank my heavenly father everyday for her and her kindness. We laughed, walked, shopped and shopped and shopped. We went to Regis and Kelly on Wednesday the 23rd. Love New York and can't wait to get back...
